Terms of use
The terms for using Distil.
Version: 16 October 2026
1. Provider and scope
Distil is provided by 7 a Second SA, Via Nocc 20, 6925 Gentilino, Switzerland. These terms apply to everyone who uses Distil, directly or through an organisation (for example a coach training school). An agreement between 7 a Second SA and an organisation takes precedence over these terms.
2. The service
Distil transcribes and anonymises coaching session recordings and prepares a first-pass evaluation against the ICF Core Competencies and PCC Markers. Distil is in beta: features may change and may be temporarily unavailable. Distil is not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Coaching Federation, and its evaluations are not an ICF assessment.
3. Account
You must be 18 or older. Your account is personal; keep your password and second factor safe. Your organisation decides which role you have.
4. Your obligations
- Upload only sessions for which the client agreed to processing, as your organisation's consent setting requires.
- Do not upload content you are not allowed to share, and do not misuse, overload or attack the service.
- Respect the ICF Code of Ethics and your confidentiality duties towards clients.
5. Prices
During the beta, Distil is free unless your organisation has agreed otherwise with us. Paid plans will be announced with their prices before they apply to you.
6. Content and rights
You keep the rights to what you upload. You allow us to process it only to provide the service to you and your organisation. We do not use your content to train AI models.
7. Evaluations
Evaluations are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. They are suggestions for your development, not a credentialing decision. Check them with your own judgement or with a mentor coach.
8. Availability
We aim for an uninterrupted service but do not guarantee it. Keep your own copies of recordings you need.
9. Liability
We are liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and where mandatory law requires it. Otherwise, liability is excluded as far as the law allows.
10. Termination
You can stop using Distil and ask for your account to be deleted at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and can end the service with reasonable notice.
11. Data protection
The privacy policy describes how we process personal data.
12. Changes
We can change these terms. We inform you before changes take effect; if you do not agree, you can stop using Distil.
13. Law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Lugano. Consumers keep the protections of the law of their country of residence.
